Have a wonderful time. Would love to do something like that. Reminds me of driving through the desert, Europe and the Isthmus of Kra in the mud. Enjoy and keep safe
I have been trying to post some photos and also publish....:-9 seems like you can't see them nor I!
Off to the Cambodia Border of Trat tomorrow.
The drive from KL to Chanthaburi has been relaxed and easy. We have regulars on our trip and very able Leader and Assistant leader.
Convoy of 13 cars are not easy to handle. Having to keep them very tight and with Bangkok's heavy traffic...it is a hugh task. So kudos to our able Assistant leader Siew Yin.
We are now in Can Tho, Vietnam. population of 20million and growing fast. 5th largest city in Vietnam and the largest in the Mekong Delta.
We had a grand dinner, hosted by Loan a Vietnamese lady married to a Malaysian and a regular on these Adventures. It was a merry evening with loads of good food and drinks.
The drive from Kep in Cambodia was just lovely. A good road ...Thailand Friendship Rd. Kep was once a favourite resort seaside town of Prince Sihanouk. To day much needs doing. I could see the glory days from the little that is left behind. Had a quick Sri Lankan tea. Yes there is a Sri Lankan Restaurant!
The drive from Ha Tien, Vietnam to Can Tho was total adrenalin fix! However with the able Assistance of our Leader and the Vietnamese Agent, we all arrived shaken but not stired.
Can Tho is a busy but pleasant City. The ride on the river to the floating market was very enjoyable. the visit to the Rice Paper factory was interesting. Lunch is always way too much for John and I...however good and enjoyed by everyone, including us.
Had a few beers and Tapas on the roof balcony of the Nam Bo Rest. overlooking the river. Beautiful. The rest went for a big dinner on the river boat.
BTW - You’re still writing in the comment section of this post which is cool if that’s what you want.
I've posted each of your albums on the main blog as new entries so people can click and view the albums... keep loading the photos in Picasa and title the album accurately.

The two nights rest here has been wonderful. Tomorrow we leave for Vung Tau, Vietnam. 7.30 am to roll.
Please let me know if you can read or see anything. This is the best I can do for this trip.

Back home now. Had such a wonderful 6000kms drive in 20 days!
A super year end of 2011! Memorable indeed!
Super Drivers, caring, sharing, humourous, and so much fun.
Wonderful countries...poor people but so gentle...Cambodia.
Vietnam...hungry and racing to achieve...Shopping centers soon will beat Malaysia and maybe even Singapore.Traffic...pure madness.
Bangkok.....food and again the fun shopping...but they can keep their traffic jams.
Malaysia....the BAD driving....wish I could have just pulled my ear lobes and twitched my nose to fly over it all.
So come 2012....what will await us?
I wish it as good as 2011 or even better. Happy Trails.
